At Pekan Kenoingan nearby the Kenoingan Palace, people are live as norm. But greed and Proud buried them until they forget what’s important to live as Kadazandusun. Humanity and responsibility towards their community has gone long. The rich manipulating and the poor suffered. Beggars are everywhere to find some help but no one helps. Two different statuses separated obviously.
In a road, on a front of a big door gate, a starved children waiting to be given something to eat while people are moving around pretending that the child never exist. The children looking around if somebody want to give a hand, but no one ever.
Rich men and rich women come in with a very precious coat they wears showing they’re a rich and very rich.
Mr. Luis : I’m hoping these all beggars are gone here forever. It hurts my eyes looking on this ruined scenery around here.
Mr. Joanes : I think I understand you my friend, Mr. Luis. (Kick one of the beggars). The smells of roses and lily are all diffused into their body to cover their smelly skin.
Beggars I (kicked) : Please Sir…perhaps a little help from the god could be shared? (Begging to Mr. Joanes)
Mrs. Joanes : Ah!!! What an awful smell of you. (Take out her perfume and sprays). Hmmm…much better.
Beggars : My lady…helps us..Sir (repeated)
Beggars II : Lady Mary…Only you my lady..I’ll serve for you forever.
Lady Mary : How dare you call my name you smelly beggars!?!? You don’t even worth as my slave you crazy maniac! You deserve hell!
Beggars frighten. Madam Laurista suddenly gives some food and milk she brought to one of the beggars (the women with child).
Mrs. Joanes : Oh please Madam Laurista
Mr. Vanasia : Madam Laurista? You should learn from Lady Mary, Madam Laurista..You are too kind to give them a something they don’t deserve.
Mr. Ambrosinus : Don’t be silly Madam Laurista. We own what we should. There’s nothing to do with these people.
Mr. Luis : What on earth are you doing Madam Laurista?
Madam Laurista : I wanted the title as “Lady” in Kenoingan Land. Helping poor will help me so. Besides, that was the food that even my slave can’t eat; Discarded milk and bread. hahaha
Lady Mary : Now that’s what I called Madam Laurista. Perhaps, that one? (Pointing to another beggar which is the worst and most dirty one)
Madam Laurista : Ew…No. I’d rather die than stepping a step towards him. That awful!
Rich man and women: Laughing.
Beggers III (Children): Please Sir..Madam?? (Crying in starve)
Rich man and women: Get off!!
The beggars stepped back frighten. Suffers kept echoing around Kenoingan Land. Day by day, the sun shines warmer and warmer. But no cloud appears on the sky. The wind came brings dust and sand of dessert. Plants started to die as well as animals. Drought came and killed most people. There’s no more to eat. Starvation leads the people to kill each other in order to get something to eat.
The following Scene will be published soon.
